Happy Birthday, Freda!! God’s blessings to you on your

    special day!!

It is time to begin discerning who God is calling to serve as elders and deacons for the next three years.  If your name is on the unwilling/unable to serve list and should be removed or if you feel it should be added, please meet with the elders in the upstairs kitchen after the service today.

Our sympathy to Karen Newendorp on the passing of her sister-in-law, Louise Van Woerkom.  Be assured of our prayers for you, Karen.

Thanks to my Ebenezer family for all the cards and well wishes for my 90th Birthday. I thank God for all these years I have spent here at Ebenezer.    Arlan Van Haaften

We thank our church family for all your cards and calls to help us celebrate our birthdays.  Thank you!          Dorothy and Norm

Today is the last day!!  If you have not already signed up to support Kyle for the Sheepgate Ministries, formerly Teen Challenge of the Midlands, golf marathon fund raiser to be held tomorrow, please do so today!!  Thanks for your support!!

Lee and Deb Kerndt have changed their email address to leedebkerndt@gmail.com.

We have the opportunity to bless the ministry of Youth for Christ by providing snacks/drinks for their Club meeting on Wednesday evenings.  They expect 35-40 kids each week, so you can imagine the amount of food and drink a group like that consumes!!  There is a sign-up sheet in the entryway for you to indicate what you’re willing to provide.  When you bring the items, please place them in the tote in the kitchen.  If you prefer to make homemade items, please have them at church by October 2.  If you prefer to make a financial donation for items to be purchased, there is an envelope in the tote where you can place them.  Checks can be written to Women’s Ministry.  Thank you for blessing this ministry in this way!!

Leighton Lions will be holding a blood donation drive at Leighton CRC on Monday, September 19 from 1:30-6:00 pm.  To schedule an appointment, please contact Gary Vandenburg at 641-780-0694 or at visit www.bloodcenter.org to schedule online

Reminder: Women’s Ministry Council encourages you to choose to attend “The Power of the Word” retreat Thursday, September 22 from 9:30-3:30 at Calvary Church, Pella. We will be captivated as we hear Mike & Lynn Wilder former Mormons now Bible believing Christians share of how they found their way into the loving arms of Jesus’ grace.  It will be a special privilege to hear about God’s power, love, mercy, and grace saving Mike, Lynn and their family. Registration deadline is September 12.  Sign up at bibleleague.org/tickets or phone Judy Vander Wall at 708-367-8546 (8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.).  This includes attendance and a delicious noon meal.  There are registration forms on the table in the entryway also.  There is a book on the table in the entryway written by Lynn Wilder.  It is about her and her family’s journey in Mormonism.  Please feel free to take it, read it and pass it on to someone else.

God thinks you’re enough.  Now it’s your turn to believe it.
