It is time to begin discerning who God is calling to serve as elders and deacons for the next three years. If your name is on the unwilling/unable to serve list and should be removed or if you feel it should be added, please meet with the elders in the upstairs kitchen after the services on the 4th and the 11th.
You all are invited to a fellowship event at the church on Saturday, September 10 starting at 3:00. It is then that The University of Iowa Hawkeyes will be taking on the Iowa State University Cyclones in a classic football rivalry. Come and join in cheering on your favorite team. Or, if football is not your thing, come and enjoy the time of fellowship - maybe bring a favorite board game or two. It would be great if you would bring a tailgating dish to share. Feel free to invite a friend or two to join us.
July 31 balances on hand: General Fund $715.22, Benevolent $9,920.00
Next week we will be having an outdoor church service on the lawn south of church. This service will be followed by a lunch, organized by the Fellowship Committee. This is not a potluck. So, bring your lawn chair and stay for lunch. This service will start at 10 am, instead of our usual 9:30. We hope to see everyone there for worship and fellowship.
